About Bequant
Bequant is a pioneering telecommunications company based in Madrid, Spain, specializing in network optimization software for ISPs and enterprises. Founded by the creators of Netspira Networks, Bequant has a rich history in the field of deep-packet inspection for mobile broadband. Netspira was acquired by Ericsson in 2005, and its technology became a core component of Ericsson's mobile network products.
After five years of dedicated research and development, Bequant has developed and patented a state-of-the-art TCP stack and a transparent gateway, forming the backbone of their BQN product. This product is a network node sold to mobile and fixed-network carriers, corporate clients, and CDNs. It is designed to significantly accelerate TCP traffic and enable sophisticated bandwidth management and network visibility.
With an initial investment of 1.8 million euros from Inveready, a leading Spanish venture capital firm, Bequant has established itself as a global leader in network optimization, with over 400 networks worldwide utilizing their technology.
