What We Do
ispace designs and builds innovative lunar landers and rovers that are central to its lunar exploration initiatives. The company's first mission under the HAKUTO-R lunar exploration program was launched on December 11, 2022, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. This mission is expected to land on the lunar surface in late April 2023. Future missions are planned for 2024 and 2025, continuing the company's commitment to lunar exploration.
Our Global Presence
With offices in Japan, Luxembourg, and the United States, ispace boasts a diverse team of over 200 employees worldwide. The company's international operations enhance its capability to manage and execute lunar missions globally. ispace U.S. is part of a team led by Draper, which was awarded a NASA Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program contract to land on the far side of the moon by 2025. Additionally, ispace and ispace EU have secured contracts with NASA to collect and transfer ownership of lunar regolith, and ispace EU is collaborating with ESA on the PROSPECT program, which aims to extract water on the moon.
