Your Role and Responsibilities

As an R&D Full Stack Developer in the IBM Knowledge Catalog team, you will be part of a dynamic and growing organization which implements holistic data management solutions used by many large customers around the world. You will engage in both front-end and back-end development, owning the entire software development lifecycle. This includes co-creating designs with the UX team, working out technical solutions with architects, implementation, code reviews, test automation, and regular deployments to public cloud.

You will use state-of-the-art tools and technologies and collaborate across products and countries in a vibrant development community. Working with our users, often being the world’s largest companies, you will ensure that our user interfaces elevate their experience to a new level.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 2-3 years of practical development experience
• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring ecosystem or JavaScript and the React ecosystem
• Understanding of microservice architectures and REST APIs
• Good knowledge of database technologies: SQL and JDBC
• Practical understanding and experience with build and code quality tools: Github, Webpack, Lint, SonarQube, OWASP, Jest, React Testing Library
• Experience in cloud-first projects with continuous integration / continuous delivery
• Good knowledge of the English language

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

• Working knowledge of RedHat OpenShift and general Kubernetes concepts
• Experience in troubleshooting customer issues
• Basic working knowledge of Jenkins and Gradle
• Good knowledge of the German language
