Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be part of the Watsonx Orchestrate’s AI assistant Runtime team. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing our public APIs and the AI backend systems that are the core of Watsonx Orchestrate. You will collaborate with other development teams to understand their API and data needs and work closely with Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) and operations teams to enhance the overall scalability, performance, and reliability of our systems.
Although this role is primarily focused on backend development, you will also need to have knowledge and experience with frontend technologies, particularly React.js. Your tasks will span the entire lifecycle of your services, from gathering requirements and designing technical architectures to development, continuous integration/deployment, and support operations.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Extensive experience with Node.js, Java, or Python
- Professional experience with database technologies such as Postgres, Redis, COS, Elastic, etc.
- Experience deploying and debugging applications in Kubernetes and/or OpenShift
- Extensive experience with API design and development
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience designing enterprise REST APIs
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins
- Experience with Express.js and React.js

Location Statement
This position requires working onsite 3 days per week at our Mulhuddart location in Dublin.
