About the Role

We are Semrush, a global IT company developing our own product – a platform for digital marketers. We are looking for a Senior NodeJS Developer to join our Khaki Team. This role is perfect for those who want to turn ideas into reality using code, algorithms, and maybe a bit of magic.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Existing Applications: Maintain and enhance our existing web application built on Express.
• Feature Development: Design and implement new features for My Reports and develop a new Client Portal product.
• Code Improvement: Improve the code base and eliminate legacy code.
• Code Review: Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality.
• Bug Fixing: Engage in detective work to fix bugs, as legacy code is still present.
• Product Development: Optionally, contribute to the development of product solutions.

Who We Are Looking For

• Strong NodeJS Skills: Proven experience working with NodeJS.
• JavaScript and TypeScript: Excellent knowledge and ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Back-End Development Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience.
• Database Skills: Hands-on experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, and the ability to write optimized SQL queries.
• Containerization: Understanding of containerization principles and experience working with Docker containers.

Nice to Have

• DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with DevOps practices and experience with container orchestration and cloud platforms.
• Message Broker Systems: Experience with message broker systems for asynchronous communication.
• Caching Systems: Knowledge and experience in caching systems and in-memory databases like Redis.
• NestJS Framework: Experience working with the NestJS framework for back-end development.
• Prisma ORM: Familiarity with Prisma ORM for database interactions.

About the Team

In the Khaki team, we focus on core features that allow Semrush users to export their data to .pdf reports smoothly. We continuously adjust the reporting framework to meet the specifics of integration interfaces, ensuring visually appealing data presentation to our clients.
