Job Description
ECS is seeking a talented JavaScript Developer to join our team, providing support to our national laboratory customer based in Albuquerque, NM. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to exciting projects.
About the Role
As a JavaScript Developer, you will be part of our Mission Customer Engagement team, which is dedicated to empowering mission-focused scientific and engineering communities. Our team delivers essential support through diverse capabilities and resources, including application engineering solutions, a high-end mission service desk, and long-term mass storage systems. We are committed to actively engaging with our mission customers to identify emerging needs and invest in opportunities that advance our collective mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React and Vue.js.
- Collaborate with customers and end-users to define and document application requirements.
- Test, debug, and refactor frontend and backend web application code.
- Translate detailed design into application systems.
- Test, debug, and refine applications to produce the required product.
- Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
- Enhance applications to improve performance and add functionality.
- Provide interactive issue troubleshooting, following user issue tickets through to resolution, documenting resolutions in a knowledge base, and working with application and system owners to identify advanced solutions.
Additional Duties
- Collaborate with team members to investigate, plan, gather requirements, design, develop, test, document, analyze problems, and support software systems and applications.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with frameworks such as React.js and Vue.js.
- Experience in back-end web development and web applications.
- Strong skills in performance tuning and requirements gathering.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
