About The Role
The Amsterdam Infrastructure team is part of Uber's global Platform Engineering organization and aims to provide the highest quality, reliable, scalable, and secure compute/data platforms to Uber employees globally, backed by a strong commitment to customer service.
We have a sophisticated infrastructure spanning both on-premise data centers and cloud, supporting a diverse variety of workloads, each different in its characteristics and requirements that support our internal corporate use cases and teams.
As we grow our Amsterdam team, we look for experienced engineers who are keen to solve infrastructure challenges at a massive scale!
What The Candidate Will Do
- Write and review code for VM-based application deployments, security tooling, and OS hardening.
- Partner with internal teams to help them deploy their applications into the environment.
- Devise, maintain, and optimize safe deployment pipelines.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in configuration management/code deployment pipelines and strategies.
- Skilled in system-level architecture, like Linux or Windows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the Elastic stack.
- GCP, AWS, and/or Kubernetes certifications are strongly preferred.
