Job Overview
Join Google Cloud as a Software Developer II in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and be part of a team that combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. As an SRE, you will ensure that Google Cloud's services have the reliability and uptime appropriate to customer needs and a fast rate of improvement.
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code: Develop and maintain software solutions that optimize existing systems and build infrastructure.
- Review code: Provide feedback to ensure best practices in style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to documentation: Adapt content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Triage and debug issues: Analyze and resolve product or system issues impacting hardware, network, or service operations.
- Participate in design reviews: Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with data structures/algorithms and software development in one or more programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

In this role, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. You will have the opportunity to manage the complex challenges of scale unique to Google Cloud, using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale system design.

Compensation
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$168,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
