About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer at Google Cloud Platforms, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies that influence how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. This role requires a deep understanding of both back-end and front-end development, with responsibilities that span across designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
- Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data structures/algorithms.
- 5 years of experience with full stack development, including back-end (Java, Python, GO, C++) and front-end (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
- 5 years of experience in testing, launching software products, and 3 years in software design and architecture.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
