Job Overview
Join Google as a Software Engineer specializing in AI/ML for Devices and Services. You will be part of a team that designs, builds, and maintains the software systems backbone for Google's consumer devices, including Pixel, Fitbit, and Nest. This role involves developing and deploying systems that enhance supply chain and financial processes using AI/ML technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy systems and services to improve supply chain and financial processes.
- Build solutions with custom frontend and backend services, ensuring high development standards.
- Develop and redesign Machine Learning models and data pipelines for production.
- Guide team members and present findings to help set directions for future ML experiments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technical Program Managers, Data Engineers, and Business Systems Analysts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in software development in one or more programming languages.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- 2 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), AI, deep learning, or NLP.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
- 3 years of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience with AI/ML algorithms and tools, deep learning, or NLP.
- Experience in designing and developing solutions for business processes like supply chain, sales, or finance.
- Experience in multiple full system implementation life cycles.
About the Team
The Devices and Services Systems team supports the manufacturing, product design, sourcing, planning, fulfillment, and execution for all consumer devices designed and sold by Google. Our systems manage global inventory and lifecycle of all devices, providing comprehensive fulfillment and execution, return, repair, and replacement options.
Salary and Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, and location, with additional factors such as skills, experience, and education considered.
