About The Role
This role is on the Courier Pricing team within the Marketplace organization at Uber. As a Software Engineer II, you will interact with a wide range of data and analytic events to build a best-in-class pricing system to efficiently price each offer made to Uber delivery partners. This work is continuing to define the courier niche in the global delivery marketplace.
We research new models and algorithms and build platforms to serve our insights to customers at Uber scale. You will be working with world-class talent and surrounded by some of the world's most experienced engineering professionals, data scientists, and research scientists on user-facing products with global impact. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new software programs.
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing software.
- Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
- Design and update software database.
- Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
- Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience in software development.
- Proficiency in HTML5 and other programming languages.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen analytical mind.
- Ability to work in a team and as an individual contributor.
