Join Zocdoc as a Software Engineering Intern
Zocdoc is excited to offer a unique opportunity for aspiring software engineers to join our team as part of our annual Zintern Software Engineering Program. This internship is designed to provide emerging technologists with mentorship, real project work, and the chance to contribute to our mission of empowering patients in the healthcare sector.
About the Internship
The Summer 2025 Zinternship will run from June 4th through August 15th. During this time, you will:
- Participate in ZocU: Start your summer with a week-long immersive engineering class where you'll be introduced to commonly used technologies and Zocdoc’s internal tools.
- Learn Best Practices: Gain insights into software engineering best practices, including writing clean, readable code, pushing code in a CI environment, and ensuring code reliability with industry-standard testing frameworks.
- Work on Real Projects: Engage in a project that benefits Zocdoc and provides you with hands-on experience. Projects may include optimizing mobile experiences or advancing our microservice architecture.
- Present Your Work: Conclude your internship by presenting your project to our technology and leadership team.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
- Experience writing clean code in an object-oriented or functional programming language.
- A passion for problem-solving and a desire to immerse yourself in Zocdoc’s technology.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively discuss your code with your team.
- A commitment to engineering and enthusiasm for revolutionizing healthcare.
