Internship Program at Sigma
Sigma's early career program is designed to launch the next generation of engineers and innovators. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on various production features and learn efficient engineering for large scalable systems. You will collaborate with engineers, product leaders, and designers across the organization.
Internship Program Qualifications
- Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US beginning in July 2024. Visa sponsorship is not available, but applicants on a student visa with work authorization are welcome to apply.
- Location: Internships are in-person in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY. Relocation assistance is provided.
- Education: Recent graduate (within the last 6 months) of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science or a related field.
- Skills: Intermediate to advanced grasp of Operating Systems, Data Structures, Algorithms, and at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
About The Role
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will:
- Experiment, prototype, and implement features that help users analyze and gather insights from their data.
- Partner with an engineering mentor and collaborate with other teams across the business.
- Take projects from ideation through implementation, iterating and gathering feedback.
- Deploy features and gather insights from customer metrics to improve development decisions.
During Your Internship You Will
- Learn how to build production software and understand how large Single Page Applications are built.
- Experience how backend systems scale to handle multiple customers and billions of data points.
- Develop automated unit tests and work with product owners to document your work.
- Design and deliver innovative solutions to improve the Sigma user experience.
Additional Information
- Compensation: Interns are compensated with an hourly rate of $50.00 per hour and a relocation bonus where applicable.
- Commitment: Able to commit 40 hours a week for 12 weeks in-person in one of our office locations.
