The Leverage team at OpenAI is focused on scaling the company by applying our latest AI models to real-world problems. We aim to assist with or automate work across the company and share our learnings with broader product and research teams. Our team has developed an ecosystem of automation products used in various domains, from customer operations to engineering.
We are passionate about building products for our colleagues and strive to add delightful touches to our work. Our goal is to prototype quickly and build solutions that have a long-term impact. We focus on identifying patterns in different types of work and creating simple, generic solutions that can be applied across multiple domains.
About The Role
We are seeking a self-motivated Full Stack Engineer who enjoys building new products in a fast-paced, iterative environment. In this role, you will develop software from scratch to address critical internal bottlenecks, often leveraging our large language models.
Responsibilities
- Own the full product development lifecycle for new internal infrastructure and product experiences.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their challenges and design solutions.
- Collaborate with research teams to provide feedback and iterate on applying the latest models.
- Work with a cross-functional team of engineers, researchers, product managers, designers, and operations staff to create innovative products.
Your Background
- Relevant engineering experience in tech and product-driven companies.
- Experience as a founder or early engineer at a startup, having built a product from scratch.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and other web technologies.
- Proficiency in a backend language, preferably Python.
- Experience with relational databases like Postgres or MySQL.
- Interest in AI/ML (direct experience is not required).
- Ability to thrive in an environment where priorities may shift and tasks are sometimes loosely defined.
