Role Overview

As a Fullstack Developer at Doktor.se, you will be an integral part of one of our product teams, where you will have the freedom and responsibility to influence the products you work on. Our teams have full ownership of their initiatives, from the idea stage to launch, and the ability to make decisions that best benefit our users. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver innovative solutions that directly improve the healthcare experience for millions of people.

Key Responsibilities

• Development from Start to Finish: Participate in the design, development, and deployment of fullstack applications, working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Front-End Focus: Create responsive and user-centered interfaces using React, Redux, and similar frameworks.
• Back-End Focus: Build and maintain REST APIs with Node.js, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
• Improve CI/CD: Maintain and optimize our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth integrations and deliveries across development, testing, and production environments.
• Fullstack Collaboration: Work with both front-end and back-end, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complete solutions.

Our Tech Stack

• Front-End: React, Redux, Next.js
• Back-End: Nest.js, Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Database: PostgreSQL
• DevOps: SQS, Terraform, CDK, and AWS services

We also have some legacy systems built in Python. Experience with these technologies is a plus, but we value your ability to learn and adapt, as well as your commitment to delivering high-quality software.

What You Bring

• Experience: A few years of experience as a Fullstack Developer, with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to work on both front-end and back-end projects.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, particularly React, Redux, and Node.js. Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, and PostgreSQL is highly desirable.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify problems and propose solutions, considering both technical and business implications.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach, with experience working in agile environments.
• Curiosity and Development: A commitment to continuous learning and personal development, and a willingness to support and coach others in the team.
• Interest in Healthcare: Experience or a strong interest in the healthcare sector, particularly within the Swedish healthcare system, is a big plus.
• Language: We speak English within the tech team, but it is an advantage to be able to communicate in Swedish with other parts of the organization.
