Job Description
The Fox Corporation’s Media Cloud team is seeking an experienced Manager, UX Developer to lead our UX squads. This role focuses on Media Cloud services, including internal-facing applications for managing media assets and editorial Content Management Systems. These applications serve thousands of internal users and are central to all Fox content, housing millions of digital assets and articles across all Fox business units.
Responsibilities

Manage a team of UX developers: Focus on three main development pillars:
- Building new, ‘greenfield’ applications/service integrations for Fox Business partners.
- Developing new components/component libraries/SDKs adaptable for multiple businesses, applications, and downstream consumers.
- Keeping the codebase forward-focused and up to date, including framework upgrades and API integrations.

Lead the team in:
- Project planning
- Code review
- Product design
- Systems design and client architecture
- Prototyping/Scaffolding work

Manage relationships with internal and external development teams and stakeholders. Our code is ‘open-sourced’ internally, allowing technicians from other teams to contribute and adapt it for their specific needs.
Requirements
- Expertise in building scalable applications using React/NextJS or Vue/Nuxt.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and writing ‘Vanilla’ code for SDKs, Lambdas, and other service integrations.
- Experience with authentication layers, caching strategies, and architecture/system design.
- Technical management experience: Managing direct reports and distributed teams, including external staff and remote team members.
- Familiarity with standard tools like Github, Jira, and AWS.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the media industry and/or working with Content Management Systems.
- Experience building your own component libraries or using services like Material UI.
