Job Summary
Join Comcast's Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) organization as a Senior UI Front-End Developer. You will be part of the Smart Network Platform (SNP) team, which is at the forefront of transforming customer experiences through innovative media and technology solutions. This role involves working on a project designed to manage thousands of devices within one of the largest cable networks, utilizing micro-services to configure, manage, and visualize the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate UX team wireframes into functional views using React.js.
- Manage projects through design, development, and QA phases.
- Work within a team that follows SAFE Agile methodologies.
- Develop and maintain the Node.js API layer.
- Oversee testing and develop fixes for issues.
- Engage in progressive redesign and maintenance projects to enhance customer experience.
- Develop new user-facing features and optimize applications for speed and scalability.
- Ensure all user input is validated before submission to the back-end.
- Participate in code reviews and apply creative solutions to blockers.
- Stay updated with current trends in web development.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in front-end development, particularly with React.js and Node.js.
- Strong understanding of front-end systems and microservice architecture.
- Experience with Webpack, TypeScript, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Familiarity with data stores such as Elasticsearch.
- Experience with containerization and Jenkins.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services.
- Experience with Linux/Unix/MacOS environments.
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management tools.
- Proficiency in Git or similar version control systems.
Work Environment
Comcast prefers on-site collaboration unless the team is designated as virtual. Remote work may be considered for candidates living more than 100 miles from the office.
