Job Description
Agoda is seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer Back End to join our dynamic team in Bangkok. This role is pivotal in developing mission-critical systems that serve millions of users daily. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects using cutting-edge technologies, making a significant impact on our business and the travel industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop performance-critical applications in a production environment using modern programming languages such as Scala, Java, Kotlin, C#, or Go.
- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant systems and APIs that host our core business logic.
- Direct significant company-wide projects and set the technical vision.
- Make architectural decisions, setting the standard and direction for the team.
- Implement advanced CI/CD pipelines and robust testing strategies to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and high code quality.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to foster a work environment rich in creativity, collaboration, and experimentation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or other).
- Good command of the English language.
- Passion for software development and continuous improvement of your knowledge and skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in NoSQL, Queueing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, MSMQ), and Play framework.
