Job Overview
Moonwalk Biosciences is seeking an experienced AI Researcher / Engineer to join our dynamic R&D team. As a pivotal member of our team, you will contribute to the development of the Moonwalk Platform, which focuses on controlled cellular reprogramming. Your role will involve developing and testing AI models that provide insights into the epigenetic control of cellular functions and predict the outcomes of epigenetic edits.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the R&D team to build large-scale AI foundation models of DNA sequences and epigenetic states.
- Construct training and validation datasets using a combination of public and internally generated data.
- Design and implement wet lab experiments to generate effective model training data, potentially utilizing active learning approaches.
- Apply AI models to advance Moonwalk’s therapeutic development programs.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in AI / ML.
- Proficiency in AI frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Proven track record of high-caliber scientific work, demonstrated through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Ability to thrive in a team-first, supportive work environment and articulate ideas, problems, and solutions clearly.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience at the intersection of biology and AI / ML.
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Biology, or a related field.
