About The Role
CrowdStrike is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our Production Systems Automation & Development team. This role focuses on the creation and refinement of tools to enhance the automations that deploy and manage CrowdStrike’s cloud-based infrastructure. You will play a key role in architecting and implementing a stable, scalable, and flexible production environment. A significant part of this position involves ensuring that the team delivers code that is tuned for scalability and survivability necessary in CrowdStrike’s expanding ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
- Work as part of a dynamic engineering team to implement new software designs and functionality.
- Be an energetic self-starter with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.
- Work with peers and internal business partners to analyze requirements and craft elegant, robust, and reliable solutions to solve complex technical problems.
- Engage with other engineers to review code and to share best practices.
- Take an active role to own your personal workload and tasks.
- Be vigilant about streamlining and simplifying both business processes and development code.
What You’ll Need
- 2-3 years experience in a large-scale production environment.
- Proven success in backend technical performance optimization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and a keen eye for quality.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and container orchestration systems like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience designing schemas and improving SQL queries for RDBMS such as Postgres or MySQL.
Bonus Points
- Professional experience with Go (Golang).
- Experience in building scripts or applications for automation, tooling, dashboards, and alarms.
- Familiarity with debugging toolsets and log/event management tools such as Splunk.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana and Alertmanager.
- Experience working with large-scale bare-metal hardware in a data center environment.
- Experience implementing tracing and metrics within systems using tools like Prometheus.
