About the Role

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on complex challenges and build critical services that support the OutSystems low-code platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with cutting-edge technologies that are defining the future of the cloud.
- Collaborate with other engineers to foster solid engineering principles and represent our engineering values.
- Lead large-scale projects to completion using both technical and relational skills.
- Collaborate, influence, and drive improvements across scrum teams.
- Architect and implement new Cloud Services serving thousands of customers and millions of users.
- Work with modern containerization and cloud technologies like Kubernetes, EKS, or Aurora.
- Use monitoring technologies like logging, metrics, analytics, and tracing to build impactful instrumentation and efficient data pipelines for services performance management.
Qualifications
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
- Passionate about solving hard problems using data-driven solutions.
- Ownership mentality and pride in your work, both technically and in team interactions.
- Ability to inspire and mentor other engineers.
- Excitement for building distributed, client/server systems, especially in the web application space.
- Experience in crafting elegant and scalable solutions.
- Passion for solving multi-data center scalability problems.
- Experience in building, deploying, and supporting backend asynchronous services.
- 2+ years of experience in software development, with a Bachelor or Master Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
- Experience in at least one high-level programming language (.Net, Java, Python, etc.).
- Knowledge of continuous delivery and testing techniques is valued.
