Your Role and Responsibilities

Join an innovative team to design and develop software for the IBM Z Operating System (z/OS) which runs the latest IBM Z mainframe servers. You will work in an agile, collaborative, and cross-discipline environment employing IBM’s Design Thinking.

As a member of the team, you will work on the development of new and/or existing tools used during the software release process.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, coding, and testing new development projects and defect fixes following z/OS processes and procedures.
• Ensuring new development and defect fixes are implemented/resolved within established time frames based on their priorities.
• Interfacing with other teams and organizations.
• Understanding our internal software development infrastructure and best practices.
• Practicing Agile development principles.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3+ years of development experience with CSS, HTML, Angular, and libraries like jQuery, node.js, angular.js, and other open-source packages.
• Experienced with integration skills with SQL / NoSQL databases backend infrastructure to pull data that feeds insights.
• Experienced with Python.
• Experience with web development, APIs, and web services, agile development.
• Continuous Integration & Continuous Development concepts.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Web Interface Performance Tuning.
• Site Reliability Engineering concepts.
• Experience with global teams and cross-time zone collaboration.
• Knowledge in automation and monitoring tools.
