Senior Frontend Developer with React and TypeScript

Job Description

Join IBM as a Senior Frontend Developer and be part of a team that transforms customer challenges into innovative solutions. We are dedicated to creating AI-powered, cloud-native software solutions that empower our clients. As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will work on IBM watsonx Orchestrate Document Processing, an intelligent document processing engine that helps customers gain insights from complex business documents.

Responsibilities

Develop responsive and scalable user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Carbon UI.
Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and backend developers to implement user-facing features.
Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
Implement unit testing and ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
Work with RESTful APIs to integrate frontend with backend services.
Document code and ensure code quality through code reviews and best practices.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

8+ years of experience in building modern, responsive user interfaces using ReactJS and TypeScript.
Strong understanding of React and its ecosystem.
Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3/Sass/Less, and responsive design principles.
Knowledge of UI testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, or similar tools.
Proficiency in Storybook for component-driven development.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience with Node.js is a big plus.
Experience with Micro Frontend (MFE) architecture is a plus.
Experience with containerization technologies, like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Experience with VSCode, yarn, and vite is a plus.

Location
