Internship Opportunity: Frontend Development Intern
Proximus Ada, a dynamic and innovative technology company specializing in AI & Cybersecurity, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Frontend Development Intern to join our Business Development team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a budding developer to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while contributing to real-world projects.
Role Overview
As a Frontend Development Intern, you will work closely with our lead developer to assist in the design and implementation of user interfaces using Tailwind CSS, React.js, and its framework, Next.js. You will be involved in various stages of the development lifecycle, from conceptualization and wireframing to coding, testing, and deploying. This role will provide you with practical experience in building modern web applications and enhance your understanding of frontend development in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Frontend Development: Assist in the development of user interfaces using React.js and Tailwind CSS, ensuring responsive and visually appealing designs.
- Component Creation: Develop reusable React components and manage component state effectively.
- Integration: Work on integrating frontend components with backend services using RESTful APIs.
- Code Review: Participate in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the lead developer and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
- Documentation: Document code, processes, and contribute to the project’s knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, and Tailwind CSS. Experience with React.js and familiarity with its core concepts like hooks, state management, and component lifecycle. Basic knowledge of Next.js framework and its features like SSR (Server-Side Rendering) and SSG (Static Site Generation). Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git. Familiarity with frontend build tools and package managers (Webpack, npm, etc.). Knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluent in English and French is mandatory.
