Join ALOHAS as a Full Stack Developer Intern
ALOHAS is seeking a passionate and skilled Full Stack Developer Intern to join our dynamic team in Barcelona. As an intern, you will report to our Head of IT and work on some of the most exciting projects in the business, contributing to our innovative approach in e-commerce.
Responsibilities
- Integration Development: Create integrations for our CMS (Shopify) and work on server-side applications.
- Component Development: Develop reusable components and build a highly scalable framework.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise with other departments to understand and translate their needs into code.
- Technology Utilization: Work with REST APIs, Webhooks, Java, and Native React.
- Test-Driven Development: Employ TDD methodology and maintain a test-driven mindset.
- Emerging Technologies: Learn and propose new technologies to improve our backend or frontend architecture.
- Database Management: Create queries in SQL, GraphQL, and BigQuery.
- Web Development: Utilize HTML5, CSS3, JS, JSON, Node, React, and other technologies to create advanced, seamless experiences.
- Version Control: Work with GIT.
- Design Appreciation: Have a deep appreciation for and understanding of good web design.
- Responsive Design: Be well-versed in Responsive Web Design techniques and mobile performance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Node, JavaScript, React, AJAX, Java, BigQuery, or similar languages/frameworks.
- Strong programming fundamentals.
- Good command of English and Spanish.
- Agile mindset and experience working in an agile environment.
- Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Git practices.
- Understanding of high-availability, globally cloud-deployed, distributed systems.
