About the Role
As a Frontend Software Engineer at Slack, you will:
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers: Work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and build new features.
- Develop and Debug: Use your expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to improve the Slack web client, ensuring performance across various browsers.
- Innovate with New Technologies: Stay updated with the latest web technologies and discuss potential solutions to enhance our product.
- Mentor and Review: Guide other engineers and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in client-side JavaScript and React Framework.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in building complex layouts with CSS and HTML, and experience with modern browser technologies.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to continually improve.
- Education: A related technical degree is required.
Bonus Points
- Experience with TypeScript, WebRTC, WebSockets, Local Storage, or ES6.
- Background in small startup environments or experience designing web applications.
