Join Squarespace as a Senior Frontend Software Engineer
Squarespace is seeking experienced JavaScript engineers with a strong design sensibility and a passion for creating user-friendly interfaces. As part of our Frontend team, you will be instrumental in building one of the most advanced web interfaces, enabling our customers to create stunning interactive websites and stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop: Lead the design and development of new features for the Squarespace interface, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Collaborate: Work closely with other engineers and designers to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Stay Current: Keep our product updated with the latest frontend technologies, including React and ES2016+.
- Code Quality: Practice disciplined software engineering, including automated testing, code reviews, and writing clean, maintainable code.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Who You Are
- JavaScript Expert: Strong development skills in JavaScript, with a deep understanding of ES6 concepts and proficiency in React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
- Experienced Developer: Extensive experience in developing large-scale application software.
- Web Savvy: Full knowledge of the DOM, HTML5, and CSS3, with experience in Single Page Application development.
- Tech Enthusiast: Passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in web application development.
- Educated: BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experienced: At least 2+ years of relevant experience.

Location
This position is based in our New York City headquarters, with a hybrid work model allowing for both on-site and remote work.
Compensation
- Salary Range: €110,500 – €178,250 annually, based on skills, experience, and location.
- Equity: All employees are eligible to receive equity as part of their total compensation package.
