Vicomtech, a leading applied research center specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Visual Computing, is seeking a talented Full-stack Developer to join our team in Bilbao, Spain. We are at the forefront of digital technology research and development, collaborating with businesses, research centers, and universities to create impactful technology solutions.
About the Role
As a Full-stack Developer, you will be part of our Data Intelligence for Industry, Energy, and Environment department. You will work on designing, developing, and deploying applications using cutting-edge technologies and best software development practices. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in research and development projects that enhance industrial, energy, and environmental processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and develop application technologies, including connectivity, storage, analysis, visualization, algorithm implementation, web interaction, and deployment.
- Ensure applications meet quality, robustness, and security standards.
- Engage in the full technology stack of Industry 4.0 applications.
- Support the design and development of RESTful APIs and work in Linux environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and PhD in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in software development with databases (SQL, NoSQL), structured data formats (JSON, XML), and JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, Node.js).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and C/C++.
- Familiarity with systems architecture, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of collaborative development systems, version control, and CI/CD practices (Git).
- Experience with containerization, orchestration, and deployment technologies (Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes).
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Basque is an asset.
- Holding a Master's degree or interest in pursuing a PhD is advantageous.
