Senior/Expert Full Stack Developer - AI Platform

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior/Expert Full Stack Developer passionate about innovative cloud platform topics and the field of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and deliver future GenAI capabilities across our Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Responsibilities

• Design and build stable and scalable AI-based solutions, PoCs, and first versions of new products & features.
• Make critical design decisions selecting underlying technologies.
• Iterate rapidly experimenting with GenAI, developing both front and backend components.
• Work alongside colleagues in a cross-functional team to develop and deliver modular, reusable components, ensuring they can be seamlessly integrated across a diverse array of cloud technology environments.
• Explore and assess new technologies in the field of generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-augmented development, tools, and infrastructure to evolve existing highly used functionalities and services in the cloud.
• Design, maintain, and optimize the framework for collecting, processing, transforming, and granting access to data for GenAI applications.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, or related field with 5+ years professional experience in Software Development.
• Strong experience building resilient distributed systems with relevant cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, BTP, AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and concepts (e.g., Go, TypeScript).
• Experience developing both backend and frontend components.
• Experience with state-of-the-art software engineering methodologies, e.g., Test Driven Development, Domain Driven Design, continuous integration, DevOps.
• Familiarity with data-centric languages (Python), SQL databases (e.g., SAP HANA Cloud, PostgreSQL), and data modelling.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.

Tech You'll Use and Learn

• Cloud Foundry/Kyma, Docker, Cloud-Native Development, TypeScript, UI5, React, Jenkins, Git, GitOps, DevOps, Python.
• LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation, SAP AI Core and GenAI Hub, Vector Engines, LangChain, AI Agents and anything relevant that will come up in the field of GenAI.

Our team aims to be on top of the latest advancements in AI and how we apply these to increase the platform value for our customers and partners. It is a multi-disciplinary team of data engineers, engagement leads, development architects and developers that aims to support and deliver AI cases in the context of BTP.
