Job Description

Vicomtech, a leading applied research center specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Visual Computing, and Interaction, is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Digital Positioning department. This role is based in San Sebastian, Spain, and offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects at both national and international levels.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will:

Support the team in designing and implementing Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) processes and solutions.
Analyze organizational needs in collaboration with research teams to generate long-term value and reduce risks associated with data science and AI initiatives.
Define and coordinate the implementation of scalable solutions for data management and operations, including storage and processing architectures.
Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Utilize DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) through Gitlab.
Develop solutions using programming languages such as Golang, Python, and Node.js, and manage team operations under Linux.
Engage in direct dialogue with research teams to identify market solutions and define the necessary mix of products and services.

Requirements

Proven experience in data management and operations within the AI field.
Expertise in designing scalable solutions and service architectures.
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies.
Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with programming languages like Golang, Python, and Node.js.
Familiarity with S3 storage solutions (e.g., Minio, AWS S3).
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Medium-high proficiency in English and Basque.
Certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
