Senior Full Stack Engineer - Remote (Spain)

Our Team

In the Foundations domain at VistaPrint, we develop the technology that powers the website's customer-facing capabilities. We manage the shared components and capabilities that are used throughout the VistaPrint site, such as a Design System, routing for all services, URL management for all user experiences, shared UI components, an experimentation framework, and the My Account section for our shoppers. Our goal is to empower content creators to deliver dynamic, content-driven marketing experiences using technologies like React, Contentful, Builder.io, and our own next-generation page rendering platform; each team has the autonomy to select the tool that best addresses their specific needs.

Our decision-making is data-driven, guided by customer feedback and insights. Each team collaborates closely with the product organization to develop a balanced roadmap that incorporates technology maintenance, innovation, and the delivery of incremental value.

What You Will Do

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be encouraged to collaborate with multiple teams, understand the business domain, design solutions, and shape the technical direction without supervision.

You will be part of two well-established domains within the site: "My Account" and "Mailing Services". Our short-term vision is to revamp the "My Account" experience now that the latter is mature and performing as expected.

Here are some examples so you can get an idea:

• Shape the future of the "My Account" section on Vista's website by redefining and implementing a new vision for a cohesive, engaging, and easy-to-use experience;
• Collaborate across multiple teams and domains to re-architecture the "My Account" space, foster a better ownership model across Vista teams, and simplify UI component hosting;
• Implement integration of sign-in and authentication features across the entire Vista website;
• Explore building new customer experiences with micro frontends (e.g., using React, TypeScript, server-side/client-side rendering, backend for frontends) and microservices (e.g., using serverless, Node.js, TypeScript, etc.).

Previous experience building applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React.js;Significant knowledge about (micro)service-oriented architecture;Previous background in collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs and working with your team to create a software solution from scratch;Experience in building scalable, reliable, testable, and maintainable software;Excellent collaboration skills and the desire to work with a cross-cultural team.

Nice To Have

Ability to provision and run infrastructure as code in AWS;Familiarity with making continuous integration and continuous delivery part of how we build software (we use Gitlab);Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
