About the Role

As a Java Developer, you will be instrumental in transferring several legacy backend services to a microservice architecture and Kubernetes. You will identify and mitigate new risks in our technical base to evolve the product and make new users happy. Your role will involve developing and growing the core functionality of the product, implementing new features, and contributing to the team’s technical strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Microservice Architecture: Help the team transition legacy backend services to a microservice architecture.
• Technical Strategy: Contribute to the team’s technical strategy with your knowledge and experience.
• Feature Development: Develop and grow core functionality, implementing new features to expand the product’s reach.
• Server-Side Development: Create server-side code using Kotlin/Java.
• Testing and Monitoring: Create autotests and contribute to product observability and monitorability.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and fix issues, perform refactoring and improvements of legacy functionality.
• Code Review: Participate in code review sessions and work with support specialists on duty.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, knowledge of architectural design patterns, and experience with queue brokers like RabbitMQ. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and any observability stack is essential.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GitLab CI, Kotlin, and non-SQL databases like MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Redis, cloud stacks (GCP or other vendors), and application monitoring.
• Experience with social networks API and DevOps practices is a plus.

Our Solar Team is dedicated to developing tools for Social Media Marketers, covering their needs from publishing content to performing competitive analysis. We are a collaborative team with experienced colleagues ready to help and guide you.
