Remote Fullstack Engineer with Shopify Experience

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Fullstack Engineer to join our exceptional engineering team at MANSCAPED®. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a high-performance, collaborative environment and has a passion for writing clean, performant code. You will report to the Tech Lead, Platforms & Portals, and work closely with management, departments, and fellow developers to translate end-user requirements into both front-end and back-end development tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize headless eCommerce websites using Shopify's API, integrating with modern front-end frameworks like React, Next.js, Hydrogen, or Gatsby for enhanced user experiences.
• Implement custom Shopify API integrations, third-party services, and plugins to extend the functionality of eCommerce platforms, ensuring seamless and efficient data flow between systems.
• Collaborate with management, departments, and fellow developers to translate end-user requirements into both front-end and back-end development tasks.
• Architect and implement comprehensive solutions for platform features, including user interfaces and server-side logic.
• Monitor and improve website performance, handle debugging and issue resolution, and ensure the scalability and security of headless Shopify applications.
• Write efficient, elegant, and maintainable code across the full stack, meeting both front-end and back-end requirements.
• Test, deploy, and monitor platform features to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end components.
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and continuously improve the existing platform, including front-end usability and back-end performance.
• Develop technical documentation to guide future development projects on both the front-end and back-end.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
• Expertise in MongoDB, JavaScript (ES6), NodeJS, Typescript, and a strong understanding of front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Cloud experience, with GCP preferred.
• Experience with both client-side and server-side development.
• Experience working with microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with front-end and back-end frameworks (we use Gatsby and NestJs).
• Preferred at least 2+ years of experience in the Marketing/E-Commerce industry.
• Familiarity with DevOps / Deployments, including continuous integration and deployment strategies.
• Experience with observability and monitoring both front-end and back-end components is a plus.
• Experience with headless implementations of Shopify Plus is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
• Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset, capable of working across the entire technology stack.
