About the Role
Do you have the passion to generate and write clean code? As a Senior Full Stack Developer at Global Blue, you will be responsible for the development and support of Angular and .NET based projects and applications with the highest quality and commitment through the entire Software Development Lifecycle. This highly responsible role involves offering state-of-the-art technology solutions that will drive forward Global Blue’s Tax Free Shopping and Currency Choice product offerings. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in an agile environment for the market leader in its industry.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and support.
- Coordinate with Technical and Product Leadership to determine appropriate functionalities, business priorities, and strategies.
- Participate in technical reviews and suggest technical improvements, technology upgrades, architecture changes, etc.
- Support QA Lead in designing and utilizing test automation procedures, frameworks, and tools.
- Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization’s agile project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Key Competencies
- Extensive working experience in Angular (2+) and other modern frontend frameworks.
- Good understanding of UX design and UX testing.
- Deep understanding of the .NET development ecosystem including tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Foundational understanding of distributed software architectures, cloud-native development, and containerization (Docker or Kubernetes).
- Experience building microservice-oriented solutions.
- Experience working with databases, SQL or NoSQL.
- Experience working with software testing frameworks, libraries, and methodologies.
- Highly motivated with an ownership mindset and enthusiastic approach to innovating and creative problem solving.
- Customer focus and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to drive important topics and improvement initiatives.
- Solid technical writing skills.
- Demonstrate self-awareness.
Experience
- 5+ years of software engineering and development experience.
Education
- BSc/MSc in computer science, engineering, or related field; alternatively, a comparable industry career, with significant experience in delivering products for consumers.
