The Role
As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining features for our Casino vertical. You will use React for the front-end and Node.js for the back-end, creating responsive and intuitive user interfaces as well as robust server-side logic.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Follow best practices and coding standards to produce reliable and reusable code.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
- Debug and resolve issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing solutions to improve system performance and user experience.
- Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes, ensuring automated testing coverage.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Help foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality code delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies as appropriate.
Skills and Expertise
- Proven experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- In-depth knowledge of React.js and its core principles.
- Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
- Strong understanding of Node.js and frameworks available for it (such as Express).
- Experience building and maintaining scalable server-side applications.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
- Ability to design and consume APIs effectively.
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Proficiency with Git and version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with GraphQL.
- Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
