Job Overview
NVIDIA is seeking a passionate and talented Senior Software & Cloud Architect to join our Software Architecture group. This role involves researching new technologies with a focus on defining groundbreaking architectures in domains such as networking, security, virtualization, and orchestration. You will play a vital role in developing cutting-edge datacenter networking and security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture for cloud-based orchestration and provisioning solutions.
- Design state-of-the-art system architecture for DPUs and NICs technologies.
- Provide fast and creative solutions for complex problems.
- Write effective, clear, and reliable architecture specifications.
- Evaluate new technologies, innovate, and rapidly develop POC prototypes.
- Collaborate with various NVIDIA teams globally, including software and hardware architects, R&D, product, and solution architects.
- Work with high-profile customers on advanced and future technologies and solutions.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc/M.Sc/Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Architect/System Architect.
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Developer.
- Deep knowledge and experience with C and Python.
- Hands-on Linux development, Docker, Containers, Kubernetes components, and subsystems.
- Experience with Kubernetes CRDs, Operators, system plugins, and CNI plugin development.
- Knowledge in provisioning systems such as Maas or Ironic.
- Strong design, coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work concurrently with multiple groups locally and abroad.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background with data center technologies, network topologies, and cloud.
- Experience with OpenStack/OpenShift and/or Cloud APIs.
- Prior experience with CNI Plugins (Calico, Flannel) and with DPDK, OVS, OVN.
- Familiarity with different automation tools such as Ansible.
