Job Overview
Join Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology as a Senior Solutions Engineer in the Ad Platforms team. This role is pivotal in redefining TV advertising by managing day-to-day technical operations for the Automated Marketplace. You will be part of a high-performing team responsible for delivering global advertising technology solutions for Disney's Linear & Addressable channels, brands, and streaming services.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Operations Management: Own the day-to-day technical operations for the Ad Platforms Technical Operations team, focusing on the Automated Marketplace and Core Ad Serving integrations.
- Monitoring and Incident Management: Ensure monitoring and alerting on production services are in place. Be available on-call for production incidents and new product launches.
- Issue Resolution: Triage, respond to, and de-escalate inbound escalations (tickets) in a timely manner while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and client satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Develop strong partnerships with sales, support, engineering, product management, and analytics leaders to drive focus on strategic and tactical channel objectives.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Maintain detailed support documentation for both internal and external use to strategically identify and understand trends. Contribute to the development of best practices, team processes, and peer training.

Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in ad technology, operations, support, or incident management.
- Deep understanding of Exchanges, Real-time Bidding, Demand Side Platforms, Supply Side Platforms, and Programmatic Marketplaces.
- Solid understanding of IAB specs OpenRTB, VAST/VPAID/VMAP.
- Experience managing a support ticket queue in JIRA, Zendesk, or similar systems.
- Fluency in SQL and experience with AWS Athena, DynamoDB, MySQL, Snowflake, or Hive.
- Working knowledge of monitoring platforms like Cloudwatch, Datadog, or Pagerduty.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of experience required. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
Additional Information
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $129,900 to $174,100 per year. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
