About the Role
As a Senior Tech Lead in Product Security Engineering at Google Cloud, you will be at the forefront of protecting network boundaries and ensuring the security of computer systems and network devices. This role involves working closely with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities, and actively monitoring our systems for attacks and intrusions.
Responsibilities
- Act as one of the executive technical leaders for product security across Google Cloud Platform (GCP)/Technical Infrastructure (TI).
- Own and drive product and infrastructure security initiatives in Cloud and collaborate closely with the broader Google Security community.
- Drive large, technically complex, cross-functional, multi-quarter, and multi-year security efforts that engineer-away common risks and vulnerability classes.
- Work closely with tech leads and executive leadership to review technical designs and architectural improvements, while also considering engineering tradeoffs between security, reliability, and performance, at Google scale.
- Leverage deep technical industry expertise to determine innovative security infrastructure improvements at Google scale.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.
- 10 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
- 10 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
- 10 years of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with open source security.
- Experience with low-level security.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and risk landscapes, including artificial intelligence, privacy, and security.
