About the Role
As a Software Development Manager at Google Workspace focusing on Generative AI, you will lead a team dedicated to developing next-generation technologies that enhance how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. Your role will involve overseeing strategic projects and managing a team to innovate and push the boundaries of technology.
Responsibilities
- Set and communicate team priorities that align with the organization's broader goals.
- Develop the mid-term technical vision and roadmap within your team's scope.
- Design, guide, and vet system designs and write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
- Review code developed by others to ensure best practices are followed.
- Regularly meet with team members to discuss performance, provide feedback, and offer coaching.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in software development using languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, and JavaScript.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with 2 years in a people management position.
- Expertise in Generative AI, including experience with Large Language Models and machine learning algorithms like TensorFlow.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
