What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Visual Artist at NVIDIA, you will be responsible for bringing our story to life through concepting and rendering key visuals and illustrations. Collaborating with our creative directors, art directors, graphic designers, and copywriters, you will build outstanding visuals representing sophisticated technologies in stylized and representational ways. Your work will span across various domains including computing, autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, robotics, gaming, and more. From campaigns and product launches to events, our internal creative team handles it all.
What We Need To See
We expect to see incredible 2D and 3D illustration work from you. A strong sense of storytelling and visual explanation should be evident in your campaign visuals, videos, storyboards, presentations, and infographics. You should have a love for technology and an ability to understand hi-tech products from the inside out. Your conceptual thinking should be paired with an eagerness to visually interpret and depict those technologies. Questions like 'What is a factory of the future?' or 'How would a diagram of AI inferencing look?' should excite you.
Proficiency in the process of visual development through iterative sketching and ideation to get to a final idea is crucial. You should be able to show ideas quickly and loosely via sketch or develop those ideas with detail and intentional use of color. Mastery of lighting, form, atmosphere, and space as it relates to 3D and 2D visuals is expected, along with meticulous attention to detail as it applies to the application of brand guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
- Proficiency with 3D applications such as 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, C4D, or Houdini
- 8+ years of proven experience creating visuals and designing presentations for established brands
- A BFA, BS, or MFA in Graphic Design, Illustration, 3D Arts or equivalent experience
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, and video
- Use of AI, automation, or other advanced technologies in building visuals
