Join Our AI Lab as a Software Engineer
At Zip, we are at the forefront of integrating AI across our product suite, including AI document extraction, AI assistants, AI risk detection, and AI intake automation. As a Software Engineer in our newly formed AI Lab team, you will play a pivotal role in building and iterating on AI solutions that drive significant value for our customers.
Your Role
As a Software Engineer in the AI Lab, you will:
- Develop new AI use cases leveraging machine learning and GenAI technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and deliver thoughtful solutions.
- Design and build highly reliable and resilient products and features.
- Write high-quality, extensible, and maintainable code.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of software engineering experience.
- BS or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or math).
- Experience building Machine Learning and AI applications in a production environment.
- Familiarity with LLM and GenAI concepts and use cases.
- Experience with web application and API development in production environments. Our stack includes Python, JavaScript, React, and GraphQL.
- Experience with industry-standard build, test, and deploy tools. Our stack includes Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Kibana, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Ability and interest to quickly learn new frameworks, architecture patterns, and programming languages as needed.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $250,000 annually, determined based on factors such as experience, education, and skills.
