Job Overview
Join Zip as a Senior Software Engineer focused on Market Expansion. In this role, you will be instrumental in building Zip’s core products and architecture. Our platform covers a wide range of functionalities including request management, no-code workflow builders, customer-facing reporting dashboards, and integrations with financial systems. You will be part of a dynamic team that values open communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Build: Develop highly reliable and resilient products and features.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional product and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and deliver thoughtful solutions.
- Code Quality: Write high-quality, extensible, and maintainable code.
- Frontend Development: Design and build scalable frontend applications and components.
- API Development: Design and build APIs to drive existing and new features for a web-based application.
Qualifications
- Experience: We are targeting Senior or Staff level engineers, but open to individuals with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Education: BS or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding.
- Technical Skills: Experience with web application and API development in production environments. Our stack includes Python, JavaScript, React, and GraphQL.
- Tools: Familiarity with industry-standard build, test, and deploy tools such as Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Kibana, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Adaptability: Ability and interest to quickly learn new frameworks, architecture patterns, and programming languages as needed.
- Bonus: Experience working at a small company with diverse responsibilities or with API connections to external systems like Jira, ServiceNow, Slack, etc.
