About the Role
The Trade Desk is seeking passionate and talented individuals for our 2025 North America Software Engineering Internship. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global technology company that is committed to creating a better, more open internet through intelligent advertising. As an intern, you will be part of a dynamic team that handles over 1 trillion queries per day, operating at an unprecedented scale.
Responsibilities
- Own and Ship Projects: You will have the opportunity to own and ship a meaningful project from start to finish. We believe in strong ownership and want you to have something substantial to show for your time with us.
- Mentorship: Receive one-on-one mentorship from an experienced software engineer to guide you through your project and help you grow your skills.
- Collaboration: Work with a globally connected team of engineers, interns, and other departments across the world.
- Technology Exposure: Engage with new technologies across a wide spectrum of computer science, including distributed systems, petabyte-scale data processing, machine learning/AI, and UI/UX.
Qualifications
- Programming Skills: Fluent in one or more modern object-oriented programming languages.
- Data Structures and Algorithms: Strong understanding of basic data structures and algorithmic techniques.
- Education: Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, expected to graduate between Autumn 2025 and Summer 2026.
- Learning Ability: Quick and self-directed learner with the ability to take ownership of design, planning, and implementation.
Work Environment
This role is based in our San Francisco office, and you will be required to work in person three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
