Team Introduction
The Global e-commerce Team at ByteDance is at the forefront of integrating e-commerce with international short video products. The team is dedicated to providing a tailored and efficient consumption experience for users, while ensuring that merchants receive stable and reliable platform services.
Responsibilities
During this 12-week internship, you will:
- Develop efficient and highly reusable front-end systems for e-commerce products.
- Optimize code to improve scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with product design, product management, and software engineering teams to deliver a superior user experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Able to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2025.
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
- Agile, quick self-learner, highly self-motivated with a strong sense of product ownership and creative problem-solving skills.
- Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast-moving, culturally diverse, and globally distributed team environment.
