About the Role

We are looking for a Staff Full-stack Engineer to join our Firefox team. This role involves developing and growing new Generative AI-driven products and tools. You will play a key role in enabling safe and healthy machine learning and Generative AI-driven experiences in Firefox.

Responsibilities

• Drive the completion of major Generative AI integrations across multiple teams and organizations within Mozilla.
• Ensure high quality, measurable, and maintainable software delivery.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to support and extend existing systems using innovative technologies.
• Partner with third-party Generative AI providers to integrate seamlessly into Firefox’s ecosystem.
• Write engineering proposals and provide feedback on major architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with management to build consensus and provide guidance across the organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to lead and ship complex software projects.
• Expertise in full-stack systems at scale.
• Proficiency in back-end technologies such as Golang, Rust, or Java.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, or Node.js.
• Ability to take initiative in a loosely structured environment.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external collaborators.

Bonus Points

• Experience with cloud-based AI integrations like ChatGPT, Mistral, Claude, or Gemini.
• Experience with large language models and AI, prompt engineering, and A/B testing.

• Experience working in open-source environments.
