About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer to join the Fakespot team within Mozilla. Fakespot is dedicated to bringing trust and transparency back to the eCommerce space by leveraging machine learning to filter out fake reviews. As a senior engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing robust, scalable applications and maintaining existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-load applications.
- Troubleshoot and fix existing applications.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.
- Maintain and expand APIs.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Strong ability to write efficient algorithms and clean code.
- Proficient in relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience with Sidekiq, RSpec, and other common RoR libraries.
- Working knowledge of Git and Docker.
- Good understanding of full-stack web development.

Bonus Skills
- Experience with Golang, Python, and Kubernetes deployments.
- Experience working with high-traffic systems and background processing.
