Position Overview

As a Frontend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience (UX) of our Open-source Evaluation platform called Lumigator. Your primary focus will be to create intuitive, responsive, and engaging user interfaces that enable users to easily interact with our platform and evaluate large language models.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the first Front-end engineer in the team, working closely with the product designer to define and implement the UI/UX of our product.
• Develop and maintain the frontend of our cloud platform using modern frameworks, such as React or Angular.
• Collaborate with product designers and managers to create intuitive, user-friendly, and responsive interfaces.
• Optimize frontend performance, ensuring fast load times and a smooth user experience across various devices and browsers.
• Ensure that our platform is accessible and usable for all users, adhering to web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Work closely with backend developers and machine learning engineers to integrate frontend components with the platform's backend services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following frontend development best practices.
• Implement unit tests, end-to-end tests, and perform debugging to ensure the stability and functionality of the frontend application.
• Participate in the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a frontend developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in developing responsive and user-friendly web applications.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with extensive experience in modern website development using React or Angular.
• Familiarity with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp) and libraries (e.g., Redux, Lodash).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues.
