Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Applied Scientist specializing in Artificial General Intelligence to join our team in New York. This role is pivotal in driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI technologies that will shape the future of cloud computing.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the segment manager to define business strategies for customers.
- Identify new opportunities to drive business expansion within a defined territory.
- Develop and execute account plans, meeting and exceeding targets.
- Manage numerous accounts concurrently and strategically.
- Handle a high volume of inquiries from new and existing customers effectively.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technical sales for B2B or in a solution-sales/technology-related environment.
- Knowledge of existing and developing technologies.
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
- Fluency in English; German or French preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, with a focus on General AI and reinforcement learning.
- Experience in developing and implementing algorithms and models for supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning through human feedback.
- Programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically about complex problems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.

Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year to $222,200/year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.
