About the Role
As a Backend Engineer specializing in Golang at SumUp, you will be part of the Payments Tribe, a team dedicated to enhancing and scaling our payments processing platform. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining back-end services within a microservices architecture, focusing on high scalability and availability.
What You'll Do
- Design and build robust back-end services.
- Participate in API design and implementation.
- Write maintainable and scalable code.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and automated test coverage.
- Collaborate with software, QA, and DevOps engineers for smooth deployment and continuous integration.
- Engage in technical discussions and code reviews to improve software quality.
Your Experience and Skills
- Extensive experience with Golang.
- Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Docker, AWS, Kubernetes.
- Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases, particularly Postgres and Kafka.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a DevOps mindset.
