Backend Engineer Intern
About the Role
Join Epic Games as a Backend Engineer Intern and be part of a team that is at the forefront of real-time entertainment. As an intern, you will contribute to the development of the FreeKWS platform, a toolset that helps Epic and other developers engage responsibly with audiences of all ages. This platform is high-availability and highly scalable, and you will work on optimizing services and delivering new features.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in team ceremonies and meetings.
- Write code following the team's best practices.
- Deliver production-ready code for the tickets you pick up in the sprint.
- Collaborate with fellow engineers and seek help when needed.
- Engage in team discussions and ask questions about new concepts and patterns.
What We're Looking For
- Familiarity with TypeScript.
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Eagerness to learn and grow.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English (B2 or above).
- Familiarity with various AWS services.
- Familiarity with the NestJS framework.
Internship Details
- Flexible start date in 2025.
- Ongoing recruitment until an ideal match is found.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Cary, NC for the duration of the internship.
